Abstract

The goal of the studies described in the paper is to find a quantitative assessment that maximally correlates with the subjective assessment of the contrast image quality in the absence of reference image. As a result of the literature analysis, 16 functions were selected that are used for no-refernce image quality assessment: BEGH, BISH, BREN, CMO, CURV, FUS, HELM, EBCM, KURT, LAPD, LAPL, LAPM, LOCC, LOEN, SHAR, WAVS. They all use the arithmetical mean of the local contrast quality. As an alternative to averaging local estimates (since the mean is one of two parameters of the normal distribution), it is proposed to use one of two parameters of the Weibull distribution of the same data – scale or shape.

For the experiments, digital images with nonlinear contrast distortion from the available CCID2014 database were used. It contains 15 original images with a size of 768x512 pixels and 655 versions with modified contrast. This database of images contains the average visual quality assessment (Mean Opinion Score, briefly MOS) of each image. Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient was used to determine the correspondence between the visual MOS scores and the studied quantitative measures.

As a result of the research, a new quality assessment measure of contrast images in the absence of references is presented. To obtain the estimate, local quality values are calculated by the BREN measure, their set is described by the Weibull distribution, and the scale parameter of the distribution serves as the best numerical estimate of the quality of contrast images. This conclusion is confirmed experimentally, and the proposed measure correlates better than other variants with the subjective assessments of experts.

Abstract

The problem of constructing and applying of mathematical model for assessing the influence of vibrations on the attached elements of the video system of a mobile robot is solved. This robot is considered as a mobile platform for placing of the special equipment for various purposes. The analysis of mathematical models and the results of experimental studies of vibrations of multi-support wheeled machine and its structural elements has been conducted. On the basis of this analysis, the form of a stochastic mathematical model of vibrations of the structure of a mobile robot has been substantiated. The vibration model is specified as a correlation function or spectral density of a random process for various conditions of the robot’s movement. Differential equations of the shaping filter for modeling а random vibration process with given characteristics are presented. Differential equations for the probabilistic moments of the vibration process are presented. Based on the equations for the probabilistic moments and the proposed formula, an assessment of events, which consist in exceeding the vibration amplitude of a given level was carried out. These events are named as outliers of a random process and characterize the range within the basic properties of the equipment installed on the mobile platform are preserved. An analytical study of a mathematical model to determine the intensity of emissions of a random vibration process has been carried out. The probabilistic characteristics of the vibration process and the intensity of emissions are determined. The obtained theoretical results make it possible to assess the performance of the elements of a video system installed on a mobile platform and to formulate the basic requirements for tolerances for their parameters. The results of computer modeling clearly showed the efficiency of the proposed mathematical model for assessing the influence of vibrations.

Abstract

The subject of research is modeling the structure of the Internet of things (IoT) network for controlling audio information based on the IoT platform. The purpose of the article is to detail the process of modeling the audio information monitoring network based on the IoT platform. The authors proposed the structure of a multi-agent system (MAS) for monitoring audio information (MASAI). The structure of MASAI includes many agents of sound transformation, analysis of information received from them, and decision-making. It was decided to use the IoT network, which includes sound sensors, the IoT platform, the notification service, and the user’s application to simulate the MASAI. The structure of this network using the Amazon platform is proposed. An algorithm for modeling the Internet of things network for analyzing audio information based on the AWS platform is presented, including simulating audio sensors, transmitting this information to the platform, sensors authenticating, processing information according to certain rules, generating notifications to a user. Detailed structure of the AWS platform is provided with a description of the functions of its components such as: device gateway, rule machine, certificate block, device copy block, database, analytics block, notification service. The algorithm for connecting devices to the AWS platform is given: creating a device certificate on the platform, creating a security policy, rules for processing information received from devices, and testing the network. The features of the algorithm for modeling the readings of sound information sensors on a smartphone are shown, steps are given for organizing its communication with the platform, performing security procedures, sending data in the form of an MQTT message, and displaying the captured audio information.

Abstract

The paper considers a problem of optimal feature selection for resume data processing by means of combining multicriteria evaluation technique and hierarhical classifying trees technology what makes it possible to build a selection mechanism without necessity to collect data for the learning purposes of real applicants. Instead, the learning data are generated by means of the technique used in a full factorial experiment with quite a restricted number of samples. The suggested approach minimizes the number of the features used in selection the best candidates and does not use the quantitative ratings of candidates replacing them with multi-phases classifying procedure. These peculiarities of the suggested selection mechanism make it more flexible and form a basis for applying it in conditions characterized by vagueness and fuzziness of the applicant data.

Abstract

Described “8D” to solve the problems of logistics and quality at the machine-building complex. The technique is designed for organizations operating in the B2B market in the supply chain. Software based on 1C Enterprise allows you to apply the technique of 8D to identify the root causes of the discrepancy and to develop measures to address them in order to prevent recurrence. Standardizing this technique and implementing it through appropriate software used by organizations throughout the supply chain is a productive tool for achieving economic benefits.

Abstract

Synthesis of the engineering design decisions is considered. The fixtures for locating and clamping parts to be tooled at the manufacturing operations are the design objects. An approach to topology and parametric design are proposed. Most efficiently these tasks are solved at the function level. Finally, geometry models and design drawings are needed for manufacturing. Fixture action is to mate bases of fixture object with function faces of fixture locators. This is constraining the degrees of freedom of object. Every base constrains certain degree of freedom. In accordance with quantity and quality of that degrees, certain locators are appointed to the base and them must be positioned resulting in the a locating chart. The quality of the locating chart may be evaluated by the several criteria, for example, by it dimensions. Unsatisfactory solution may be followed by redistributing degrees of freedom among the bases or editing positions of locators within the bases. Thus the design is decomposed onto two independent tasks of different levels.

Abstract

A mathematical model of distance learning based on control theory in the form of an inhomogeneous linear differential equation is proposed. On the basis of the coefficients of assimilation and forgetting, determined with the help of special tests, it is possible to predict, in some approximation, the level of current knowledge of both the individual trainee and the group or stream of students.
