Author Guidelines

The material of the article should  accord to the specialization of the journal “System analysis and applied information science”

1. The size of the article (with illustrations) shouldn`t exceed:
  • for original article – 7 pages (not more than 8 illustrations)
  • for short report – 3 pages (not more than 2 illustrations)

The article should be typed using word processor Microsoft Word 2007.

Page setup: paper size А4 (height 29,7 sm., width - 21 sm.); indention from left and top margins – 25 mm, indention from right and bottom margins – 20 mm; pagination in the header ge numerationhe secon page ldn`t c research , starting on the second page, with right alignment.

The text is typed in Times New Roman font, 12 pt. Interline spacing – sesquialteral. Paragraph indention – 12 mm.

2. UDC identifier is typed in Times New Roman font, 12 pt, capital letters, right alignment. After UDC identifier – one empty line.

3. The surname and initials of the author(s) in the nominative case are typed in capital letters, Times New Roman font, 12 pt, italic, left alignment. After the surname of the author – one empty line.

4. The title of the article is typed in Times New Roman font, 12 pt, bold, capital letters, center alignment. After the title– one empty line.

5. The full name of the organization where the author(s) work(s) is typed in Times New Roman font, center alignment. After the name of the organization – two empty lines.

6.  The abstract of the article is typed in Times New Roman font, 10 pt, italic, center alignment. The size of the abstract is not more than 8 lines, interline spacing 1,15.

After the abstract – two empty lines.

7. The text of the article (is typed in Times New Roman, 12 pt, with indentation, justified alignment) should contain the following elements:

1) introduction (may contain: short review of the literature on the subject of the research, listing of unsolved issues, problem statement, the purpose of the research). The word "Introduction" is typed in Times New Roman font, 12 pt, bold, left alignment.

2) main part of the research (can be divided into sections), includig
diagrams and other             illustrative material (if any), at that the tables and figures should not duplicate each other. The name of each section of the article is typed in Times New Roman font, 12 pt, bold, left alignment.

3) conclusion (the main results obtained should be stated with an indication of their novelty, advantages in comparison with peers).
The word "Conclusion" is typed in Times New Roman font, 12 pt, bold, left alignment.

8. References. The list of the references should be typed " is typed in Times New Roman font, 12 pt according to Инструкцией по оформлению диссертации, автореферата и публикаций по теме диссертации, утвержденной постановлением президиума Государственного высшего аттестационного комитета Республики Беларусь 24.12.1997 № 178 (в редакции постановления ВАК Беларуси от 22.02.2006 № 2). The word «References» is typed in Times New Roman font, 12 pt, bold, left alignment.

 References should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are mentioned in the text. The references in text are identified by order numbers in   square brackets (for example: [1], [2]). In review articles there should be not more than 30 references, in all others – not more than 15–20.

9. The abstract in Russian (English) should be attached to the article in English (Russian). The abstract should contain: the title of the article, surname and initials of the author (s), a summary of the article (which should be suitable for publication separately from the article).

8. Making formulas.   Formulas (all characters of Latin and Greek alphabets and others that are used in formulas) should be typed with the help of  built-in MS Word Еquation Editor. Latin characters should be typed in  italic as in formulas as on figures and text, and Russian and Greek – ordinary type.  

In Equation Editor should be set up the following size of characters: ordinary character –11 pt., large index – 7 pt., small index – 5 pt., large character – 17 pt., small character –12 pt. Formulas have center alignment. If it is necessary to make references to formulas they should be enumerated by Arabic numerals, that should be put in round brackets in the order they are mentioned. The numbers of formulas should have right alignment. 

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  2. The materials should be prepared in a format Microsoft Word.
  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one line spacing, font Times New Roman, 12 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).
  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.
